Monday 11th August - walk **** – Waldringfield for a picnic by the Deben – sunny and hot.

A sunny and hot day here in Suffolk but still manged my exercises before packing a picnic to then drive over to Martlesham to see a small field of sunflowers just across the road from the BT tower. I did risk life and limb crossing the road the to take some pics, they were amazing too and I was lucky enough to get a photo of them on Look East, my first pic on the BBC since 25th June!!! We then continue to Waldringfield, parking near the church we slowly walk down to the River Deben expecting it to be heaving but with the tide high it was surprisingly quiet. We managed to find a nice bench in the shade just past the sailing club to enjoy lunch watching the world go by, with people crabbing, swimming, paddle boarding and sailing past it was very pleasant:) Then on the way home we were diverted through Falkenham and we spotted our first combine so stopped to take some pics - top day.
